Pepper News

Christmas at the Eden Centre, High Wycombe

The new Eden centre in High Wycombe featured a Santa's Grotto, supported by the Bucks Free Press, which, raised over £900 for Pepper. It cost £2 to visit Santa – 50p to cover a copy of the Bucks Free Press, 50p towards the cost of the photographer and the remaining £1 to Pepper which just goes to prove that around 900 children sat on Santa's knee during the pre Christmas period.

The part of Santa (one of the real Santa's stand-in's during his very busy time) was Councillor Doug Anson MBE, a District and County Councillor and former Mayor of Marlow. Jonathan Tweed – Chairman of the Pepper Foundation, together with Karen Buchanan – Pepper Administrator and Liz Clarke – Pepper Fundraising attended the offices of the Bucks Free Press in High Wycombe to collect an extremely generous cheque.

In the photo from left to right are Doug Anson (Santa), Howard Scott (MD of Newsquest South and West London), Daniel Tomkinson (Eden Centre) and our very own and very special Santa's helper - Jonathan Tweed...!
