Children put Fun into Fundraising for Pepper

Tony Hill, Vice Chairman of the Pepper Foundation was recently invited to attend the Long Marston Primary School near Tring in Hertfordshire, to receive a cheque for £500 presented by the children, which they raised during their Christmas festivities.

Over Christmas the younger children, aged between four and 8, performed Babushka and the upper school added an X factor twist to their take on the Nativity story.

In addition, all the pupils held a name the Pepper Pig competition and performed at All Saints Church, in Long Marston, which also raised money for Pepper.

Head teacher Peter Dickenson said: "Pepper is a great charity and one that specifically helps children with life limiting illnesses. It was immediately obvious to us at school that it is a cause we would like to help."

Thank you Mr. Dickenson and all the children at Long Marston Primary School and their parents who between them raised such an impressive amount. Oh, and by the way, the winning name for Pepper Pig was Edward!
