BBC Children in Need Success
We have received some excellent news regarding an application by the paediatric service to BBC Children in Need. It has been successful and a grant award of £50,824 has been awarded which will part fund a part time children’s nurse to deliver hospice home care to children with life-limiting illnesses.
The project aims to decrease children’s anxiety, social isolation and increase happiness and an award of this size is a fantastic boost for the children’s service.
The funds will be received over a three year period and the nursing team is delighted to be a recipient of the above sum, which is a result of nation wide donations made during the 2016 BBC's annual Children in Need appeal for charities up and down the country.
We look forward to bringing you more news in due course.
