Gift Aid allows The Pepper Foundation to claim the basic rate tax on every pound donated to the charity. So, if somebody donated, for example, £100 to Pepper, it means they would actually be giving £125. Giving under Gift Aid means that more money can be raised at no extra cost to our donors.
We can reclaim tax from the Inland Revenue on individual and sponsorship donations made through the Gift Aid scheme. To enable us to reclaim this tax, we ask that you complete a Gift Aid declaration, confirming you have made a donation to the charity and that you are a taxpayer.
Gift Aid only applies if you are a taxpayer (as a taxpayer you pay an amount of income tax or capital gains tax equal to the tax we will reclaim on your donation). This averages 25p for every £1 donation. The donation must be made from a personal bank or building society account, Gift Aid cannot be claimed from company accounts.
Once you have completed your Gift Aid declaration we will retain it for future reference. Don't forget you should inform us of any changes in your tax circumstances or if you change your name or home address.
Please download, complete and return your gift aid declaration to Mrs D Hughes, The Pepper Foundation, Rennie House, Unit 3 Icknield Way Industrial Park, Tring HP3 4JX
