Global Radio MAKE SOME NOISE raises £86,000!
We are delighted to share some wonderful news with you.
Pepper has just received our giant grant cheque from Global’s Make Some Noise with the help of Heart Radio!
Sam, mum of one of the Pepper Nurses’ young patients, put Pepper in touch with Global’s Make Some Noise in December 2015. Pepper applied for funding, and we were over the moon when we found out that Heart Radio had chosen Pepper as one of their two beneficiary charities.
Heart Radio spent the whole of 2016 fundraising for the Global’s Make Some Noise appeal, to raise money for their chosen charities. We were all left speechless at Pepper’s family coffee morning recently when we received a cheque for £86,000 from Heart Radio presenter Stuart Miles.
Stuart and fellow presenter Katy Hill from Heart's Breakfast Show have been wonderful on-air ambassadors for Pepper during the fundraising campaign, and this fantastic donation will fund a Pepper Nurse for two years, enabling very sick children to receive nursing care at home so that they can be with their families.
We would like to thank anyone that has donated to this year's national Make Some Noise appeal for everything they have done to raise the whoppping £2,208,700 for charities up and down the country. And especially for the £86,000 awarded to Pepper (we had been expecting £32,500). Thank you for making a difference.
