The support of charitable trusts and foundations plays a crucial part in helping The Pepper Foundation to continue funding specialist, hospice at home care and support for children with serious illnesses and their families.
Charitable Trusts & Foundations
We are very grateful to the many trusts that have supported us over our 25-year history, helping us to keep funding a small team of children’s hospice at home nurses employed by Rennie Grove Hospice care. These specialist nurses provide paediatric care for babies, children and young people up to the age of 19 living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Care is provided free of charge in patients’ own homes and the nurses are unique to the area in that they are available 24 hours a day, all year round.
The difference you could make?
A donation to The Pepper Foundation will be used to fund specialist care for very sick children. The children’s nurses, employed by Rennie Grove Hospice Care, provide flexible and responsive care tailored to each family’s needs to help ensure that the children are able to fulfil their potential and enjoy the best quality of life possible.
- A day of care from a Children’s Hospice at Home Nurse, visiting families in their homes costs £187.50
- It costs an average of £38,500 per year to employ a Children’s Hospice at Home Nurse to care for all the children who need their support.
