Last week was the Pepper Show 2025, and what a week! Although we’ve been running this show for 36 years, there isn’t a year that goes by that we’re not completely amazed by the support we receive for this event from our community.
Without an audience, all of the hard work by the cast and crew is for nothing, so thank you to every single person who came to the show. We had 1300 people through the door during the week, which is incredible!
You’ll be pleased to know that we’re already booked for the 2026 show; we’ll release details in due course. However, before then, we’ll be giving the Pepper Show team a well-earned break, as they definitely deserve it!
Our thank yous
Pepper Show week only comes together due to an enormous amount of teamwork by many people. Thank you to:
- Our front-of-house volunteers. This group of heroes ensures that everyone gets into the venue, manages seating, sells raffle tickets and programmes, acts as a first aider, assists guests with mobility requirements, and much more. We couldn’t do this without you, so we are extremely grateful.
- Our marketing volunteers. Whether they’re selling advertising space in the programme, taking photos of the cast, or putting up roadside banners, these volunteers help the Pepper Foundation team keep the promotional machine running.
- The cast of the Pepper Show. Every single person on the stage is a volunteer and spends months preparing for show week. The level of commitment to putting on the show goes above and beyond.
- The Production team. Months before rehearsals even start, the Production team (a group within the cast) are working in the background, preparing for the show.
- The Musical Directors. Another group within the cast ensures the music in the show is top-notch. They score songs, run rehearsals every week and generally make sure everyone knows what they’re singing and what they’re playing!
- The house band and the Pepper Youth band. It would be a pretty quiet evening without these guys!
- The Pepper Youth Chaperones. Just like everyone else in the cast, our younger cast members are hard at work rehearsing every week. During rehearsals and show week, the chaperones are present, ensuring the safety and well-being of the Pepper Youth cast members.
- The staff at the DEMBE theatre, Tring. This year was our 10th anniversary at the DEMBE theatre. Every year the staff and management at the DEMBE help ensure that the show week runs as smoothly as possible.

Our sponsors
One of the things we feel most lucky about as a small regional charity is the level of fundraising support we receive from our local community. From individuals to large companies, we have seen years, sometimes decades, of support.
This is very true of the local businesses and organisations that return year after year to sponsor the annual Pepper Show. We are extremely thankful to each of the show sponsors:
Tuesday: Tring Market Auctions
Tring Market Auctions have supported our charity many times over the years, and we were extremely proud to welcome them back as the sponsors of our 2025 opening night.
Tring Market Auctions is a local institution and probably one of the largest and best-known auction venues of its type in the Home Counties. They run auctions every two weeks, with sales attracting a very wide range of buyers from across Great Britain and internationally.
